TAM SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS TOOK PLACE ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2023. EACH CANDIDATE WAS RUNNING UNCONTESTED AND THE RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

CHOICE TEACHER MEMBER - BRE SCHEER - 26 VOTES

DREAM TEACHER MEMBER - MARK MEIER - 32 VOTES

COMMUNITY MEMBER POSITION - CAROLYN HOLM - 29 VOTES

CHOICE PARENT MEMBER - LEANN HOULE - 29 VOTES

WHY CHOOSE TECHNICAL ACADEMIES?

Technical Academies of Minnesota (TAM) will provide students in grades 7-12 with an individualized learning program that includes career preparedness, college readiness, and community partnerships and opportunities, in a project-based, staff-led school.

Technical Academies’ educational program has four main characteristics based on EdVision’s Design Essentials: small learning communities, co-generated project-based learning, authentic assessments, & teacher professional practice or leadership.

OUR MISSION

The mission of TAM is to provide a student-directed learning environment that is challenging, democratic, reflective, joyful, and hopeful. Students' unique developmental needs and capacities are appreciated and every student is valued as a whole human being—heart, mind, body, and soul.
