• DREAM is open to partnering with agencies and organizations in the surrounding communities. All students are required to do a service-learning project each year and we are always looking for new community partnerships.

In the past, DREAM has partnered with:

    • The Minnesota Extension Office, to offer programming for our students who have earned credit for “cooking is science” and “healthy eating practices'' to name a few.
    • The Barn Theatre, to produce and direct a children’s play, to provide stage management, to organize costumes, to clean their facility, and in return, they allow us to use their space for student showcase nights and performances.
    • The Food Shelf. The food shelf donates food to our students and families weekly, and our students volunteer at the food shelf.
    • The Kiwanis Club, to start a student organization called Key Club. Weekly, a Kiwanis Club member meets with our Key Club to plan service-oriented projects in the community. The Kiwanis Club sponsored our students to attend the statewide conference.
    • The Workforce Center, to provide training for our students and opportunities for skill development. The Workforce Center provides opportunities for certification processes for our students in the area of customer service. Click here to learn more about our work-based learning.
    • The MNYou Youth Garden. For the past few years, our students have worked in the community greenhouse on various projects and have been the recipients of the produce grown.
