Welcome to CHOICE Technical Academy!
We are a free public charter school that focuses on career and college preparedness for grades 7th through 12th. CHOICE is the second school opened by Technical Academies of Minnesota (ISD 4217), a charter school district authorized by the Minnesota Department of Education and Osprey Wilds Charter School Division.
The curriculum is designed for students who enjoy learning by doing, with a hands-on project-based learning focus. Our learning environments utilize self-directed, project-based learning to build student autonomy through relevant learning opportunities; create student belongingness through full-time advisories; and empower teachers via teacher-led and democratically governed schools.
Our mission at CHOICE is to create schools that will enhance relationships and build relevant learning environments that empower students, parents and teachers to make choices.
We have been open since September 8th, 2015. We are located on the historic Pillbury Campus in Owatonna.
